Special School

Tamahar was founded in 2009 by vaishali pai an Occupational Therapist.

School has 55 children and teaching staff in that   CP +MR +seizures =18 children,MR =13 children, Rare disease =4 children, Autism=9 children, Genetic Disorder=8 children, Endocrine Disorder=1 children, Psychiatric Disorder=1 children, Polymicrogyria=1 children.

They have 2 offices in bangalore,head office has 7 rooms and branch office has 5 rooms.

Transportation is not available and playground is not applicable.

Fee structure is based on the income of the parent.

Extra curricular activities like music theraphy,yoga theraphy,speech theraphy and physio theraphy and other classes like dance,art and drama are regularly organised.

• N.S HEMA AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICES TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.
• TWO OF OUR CHILDREN WON AN AWARD AT THE KALAANGANA TALENT SHOW: AKHIL FOR TABLA AND APURVA FOR SINGING.
• TAMAHAR WAS REIGESTERED WITH NATIONAL TRUST THIS YEAR.
• WITH THE SUPPORT OF MLA SURESH KUMAR AND THE CURRENT MAYOR MRS.PADMAVATHI, TAMAHAR HAS STARTED USING THE SPECIAL AREA, MEANT FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, AT THE GAYATRI DEVI PARK! CHILDREN FROM EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM HAVE THEIR CLASS THERE EVERY FRIDAY.

School is organised only with education/Physiotheraphy and O.T Equipments for children.
