Dr. Sheetal Mhamunkar Genetic, Clinical Dietician & Sports Nutritionist (MD nutrition & RD 06-85) was faculty member in many teaching programs in Nutrition and dietetics.
Founder & CEO of SP Nutrition SP Enterprises, & Preventa Clinic Wellness for Everyone with the motive of helping the people for prevention rather than controlling the health issues and help the people to improve their health through NUTRITION.
She is the Practicing Registered Dietitian with a large experience in managing Inborn Errors of Metabolism (since 1985) & clinical Dietician and consultant sports nutritionist (since 1979 onwards) encompassing a whole range of roles like One to one nutrition counseling. Some credentials are: published articles in Medical/Nutrition Journal, Websites, Magazines; N number of Sports Nutrition talks, Health talks on Radio; live TV talk shows; nutrition lectures to various Groups including Corporate workshops; more than 35 researches in the field of nutrition & dietetics; Research guide for Nutrition students and Medical students. She is expertise in management of “obesity, and Inborn Errors of Metabolism (IEM)” and also in cricket nutrition.
She is currently working as Genetic Dietician at “Wadia Children Hospital Mumbai nearly since September 2023 and recently joined NH SRCC Children’s Hospital”. She has worked as a chief Dietitian for KEM Hospital Mumbai for 25 years and consultant dietician for reputed hospital in UAE. New steps are introduced in some of the Clinical departments and also in some specific sports too which have helped the patients to improve their health & players to improve their performance. - Launched android app book named “DIET FIXER FOR CRICKET SIXER”
- Kindle publication book “Win Battle of Obesity” Obesity the solution (includes approximately 50 salad recipes with their nutritional facts including fiber)
- Written a Chapter on “Nutritional Perspectives of Inborn Errors of Metabolism” published in text of Clinical Genetics.
- Developed a website https://richardfoss4.wixsite.com/iem-diet-plan for Amino Acid Disorders & asses to the website to the parents given free of cost.
- Currently working on formulation of palatable low protein recipes for these cases to improve child’s intake, which will be helpful in reducing catabolism and indirectly improve the outcome of the treatment.
